Wish it were (much) taller but like true way it’s coming together.

I like the idea of Main being low- to mid-rise with taller buildings behind them on Baltimore and Walnut.

Zoning and area plan together dictate stepping up from west to east, but maxing out at 75' more or less west of Main then up to 130' east of Main.

This is a little old, but still a nice video that really shows how this is a nice infill project even though it's only a few stories. The crossroads is really starting to fill in nicely.

Um, no one authorized a drive-thru bank -- video or otherwise -- at this development: https://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/ ... sites.html

Surely just a quirk of sentence structure, no? Fingers crossed?

Was a drive-up ATM approved?

Is there a difference between a drive thru and a drive up?

Not in my opinion. I'm sure they'll make a case to CPC, assuming they think it requires a variance.

Absolutely, but we don't want either option. Across the country there used to be drive up gas pumps which were right at the curb of a downtown building. It allowed someone to sell fuel without needing a parking lot. That would be drive up service.

Instead have an ATM outside on the side of the building.

The streetcar being well designed for accessibility makes looking at how nearby projects support individuals with disabilities an important concern. If we can't force this along the streetcar line where can we?

That said, 19th is one lane wide west of Main so turn the second WB lane Grand to Main into a 15 minute and delivery vehicle zone. There's going to be multiple garages in the area for longer-term parking and this forces building owners to include visitor parking in them, not count on free on street spaces.

So more correctly, it would allow people to walk, and utilize transit via wheelchair to reach the ATM. People who drive still have good access and if they need to walk an extra 60 seconds, no big deal.

Earlier renderings did not include that fence. Not a fan.
