Unbelievable. The Chiefs look terrible.
Wow, you serious, Clark?AllThingsKC wrote:I am at the Chiefs game right now. The 37-7 score really gives a person time to check KC Rag while at Arrowhead.
Anyway, I don't think Cassel has looked that bad. As mean, a few passes should have been caught.
And, Seattle just scored again. 44-7!
ugh dude, he went 10-14 passing on the drive at the end of the first half.MidtownCat wrote:Wow, you serious, Clark?AllThingsKC wrote:I am at the Chiefs game right now. The 37-7 score really gives a person time to check KC Rag while at Arrowhead.

Dude had one completion and 8 yards midway through the second half.
He made some very smart quick-thinking decisions. His throws were fairly accurate. A good portion of them should have been caught. That was in the first half. The second half is a slightly different story, but i dont count it because many of our starters were out by then.MidtownCat wrote:Wow, you serious, Clark?AllThingsKC wrote:I am at the Chiefs game right now. Meant second quarter.knucklehead wrote:ugh dude, he went 10-14 passing on the drive at the end of the first half.MidtownCat wrote:Wow, you serious, Clark?AllThingsKC wrote:I am at the Chiefs game right now. The 37-7 score really gives a person time to check KC Rag while at Arrowhead.

did you even watch the game?
I'm shocked that you would come in with that viewpoint.MidtownCat wrote:Russell Wilson in his first professional start is a significantly better NFL quarterback than Matt Cassell.
Truly incredible and comical.

The funny thing is Glass and Hunt are similar in a lot of ways. Cheap, hyper conservative, afraid to address the currency of their respective leagues.grovester wrote:Damn that David Glass!
What young QBs have they drafted? The last first rounder was Todd Blackledge in 1984. The only ones they have drafted seem to be late in the draft as a lottery ticket, and they only seem to do that once every few years. And its not like those vets you talk about produced that much success either - no Super Bowls, one AFC Championship game, zero playoff wins since 1997.chaglang wrote:I'm not totally giving up on Cassel, but after this weekend's game I found myself wondering if the Chiefs are wasting too much energy and too many draft picks trying to develop a young QB. Going back to the DeBerg era, their best seasons have come with veteran QBs that they sign for a few years and then move on. It's not how I would prefer them to do it, but they simply don't seem able to develop younger players at that position. It's a riskier position to try and develop, so going with veteran QBs would mean they wouldn't be gambling with those draft picks.
I guess the counterargument is that they didn't win any titles with veteran QBs, either.
At least 4 of those guys - Blackledge, Elkins, Blundin, and Croyle - I wouldn't classify as lottery tickets.KCMax wrote:Chiefs QBs taken since 1983

Blackledge certainly wasn't. I was young with Elkins and Blundin but I never really felt like they had a real shot at the starting gig. Croyle was probably seen as a QB of the future. Point is we really haven't tried to develop many QBs. Maybe it wouldn't work, but it would be a nice change seeing as bringing in these re-treads hasn't gotten us to where we need to go.chaglang wrote:At least 4 of those guys - Blackledge, Elkins, Blundin, and Croyle - I wouldn't classify as lottery tickets.KCMax wrote:Chiefs QBs taken since 1983
