Fast food facades on prominent avenes and boulevards is the norm, not the exception.  For those of you who have been to Europe, you know what I mean.  If the price is right, and the traffic heavy, fast food will arrive.  It's inevitable.

Yea Chipotle is a subsiduary of McDonalds. I did not know this until they put one in here in Topeka and I saw a McDonalds truck parked on the side of the restaurant. McDonalds also owns Boston Market.

Does anyone still eat at this place? I've never been there. It never sounded like something I'd want to try.

Most downtowns have a Wendy's or a burger king or even a sonic every few feet.  The fact that downtown has none is not only sort of bizarre, but downright sad.  (yes, I know there are a few in city center square that open for lunch).

I would welcome fast food downtown.  I think it says more about the area's vibrancy than ESPN Zone, I yes, I want that kind of stuff too.

Decent place.  I can't beleive they are still in the KC market though with only a few stores.  Westport is the only one I know of that is left.

I used to think it looked appetizing.  You'd think they couldn't screw up comfort food, but they do, and with flying colors.

It seems like a healthier option than fast food, although I don't know if it actually is.

There's still one at 119th and Metcalf, and one on SM Parkway in Lenexa.

Just checked, three in joco, one in northland and the westport location is all that is left.  JoCo does seem to support more alternatives to fast food.  Blue Springs for example is fast food or nothing for the most part.

I doubt the place is much better than fast food.  I know I have the potpie and it's probably worse than two big macs.  You can get vegetables there, but again, I doubt they have much nutritional value, although better than fries...

Haven't eaten there for a year. But the rotisserie chicken is the thing to have if you go there. The breasts are juicy and flavorful all the way through. The veggies are crisp. A good deal considering the regular fast food places cost the same.

Chipotle is the shit!

Did a little researching and I was wrong about Chipotle. They must be leasing space in McDonalds trucks to transport their food.
