Great editorial today from Yael.
(Also, please back me up in arguing with the Tea Partiers in the comments...)

Why doesn't Yael move from Raytown to midtown or downtown? That also would help him avoid problems such as missing a taping of "Ruckus" because he was snowed in.

The only thing that keeps me from throwing my computer is occasionally perusing the comments sections in the other dailies I read and remembering, soothingly that...

KC Region is all part of the same animal regardless of state and county lines.

The comments are a bit like panning for gold, you have to go through tons of background noise to find something worthwhile. It's so frustrating. I used to comment occasionally but no longer do. I hate the idea of censorship but if comments do not add anything to the discussion (e.g., "Kansas City is a meth-lab mecca and crime-ridden dump"), I'm all for removing them. The crap that is on there makes intelligent discourse impossible.ComandanteCero wrote: heh, getting involved in any of the Star's comment sections is like fighting a tar baby.
