I thought Otto was at Hamburger Mary's?  I'm confused about the name - is it Otto's @ Czar Bar or Otto's Original Burger & Malt?  Whatever the case, hope he makes a go of it.

it would be nice if Czar bar had some experts behind food and cocktails... -- they just kinda made up shit without thought.

Wait, what? They moved out to the desert, and now they're coming back?

sounds like a good plan, though i'd prefer to see otto's have its own space somewhere - i.e. back on w. 39th!  or anywhere, really, including the empty spaces along grand in the xroads...

but Otto's could rejuvenate Czar Bar's "food program" to the point it becomes a destination in the day and early evening hours. the increased activity during times when Czar Bar was probably sitting dead will make that stretch of Grand more vibrant and therefore more attractive to prospective tenants. i'm all for incorporating a diverse mix of uses in small spaces.

Their huge shake and malt selection begs the question...

You seem to have nailed the underage kids at bars demo with your shakes and malts, where are the adult shakes and malts?

it'd be funny if KC's newest food trend was malt shops.

So did anyone determine if this has any connection to the old Otto's Malt Shop on W. 39th?  The owner of that business skipped town with the IRS in pursuit, so I'd be surprised if she was involved with this newest venture.

The City needs to hurry up and give that stretch of Grand the same treatment the P&L District got.  Widen the sidewalks and plant some trees.

It was the talk of 39th street when it happened.  An IRS agent showed up a the business to talk about the owner's non-payment of taxes.  A woman (maybe manager not owner) threatened to assault the agent, and the next day the IRS seized the business.  Next time you are in from Lawrence, ask any business owner on 39th about Otto's and they'll tell you the story.

"Next time you are in from Lawrence"

So subtle.
