Everything about that building is looking great in person except the vertical stripes at the corner. They're just...odd. Maybe they plan on having a billboard on the side without windows. That would actually improve it.

Very much like how the apartments are the same height as the buildings to the east and the north.

Does anyone know if the bank replaced the grocery store? Or did I get my building mixed up with one of the other ones...

I believe that spot has always been planned as a bank (since tenants were announced). I believe the plan for the grocery is the SE corner.

If you look at the flythrough video on Mac's site, you can see Community Groceries as the signage on the SE corner. I know those are often placeholder signs, but since Mac did announce them as a tenant, I would think it is happening.

Bliss Books and Wines is moving into 3502 Gillham - former Native Digital office (they moved to the Crossroads), next to Mother Earth in Mac's International building. Seems like it could be a nice addition.

The buildings at Troost and Armour are looking solid. I look forward to seeing how the others come out since they're the largest in the bunch. I wonder what the cost per unit is since these are being built with metal instead of wood.

Very impressive urban development. The Chase Bank branch in the Westover is part of a nationwide expansion and has a focus on assisting minority home buyers with down payment grants and affordable loans. The bank and the grocery store are terrific additions to the neighborhood.

A few dozen more intersections throughout E Side could use this approach. And a couple in Midtown.

Too bad they ran those power lines down Troost when it was at its ebb. I would not choose to live under them. Would have to wear a rubber swim cap and rubber soled shoes which would make it difficult to wear a tin foil anti alien abduction cap.
