Besides the loss of two days' worth of data(the site shouldn't have been working anyway), is everyone happy with the new host? It seems much snappier to me, and load times are much better. Have you had any trouble?

Everything seems the same to me, which is great. I didn't realize how much I expect KCRag (and not some alien cantina) to be there. It was like losing electricity or cable.

Thank you for doing all the stuff you do for us. I know your real job probably keeps you hopping.

Now that you mention it, things seem to be a lot more faster. At least the format is the same. Thanks also.

On other topic, transition period, when the area seemed to become Spam Central, was quite interesting... if a bit disturbing in places.  :shock:

For sure I don't come here often, but I never have trouble. It seems the same today as it always has.

I have notification enabled on several threads, but I no longer get notified when someone posts a reply on any of them.

Oh, emails! Let me make sure that's working! I always forget that part.

//EDIT//

Okay, I just updated the email settings. Please let me know if it still isn't working.

I don't think it is. This thread is enabled, but I did not receive notification of your post. And I have not received any other notifications, although maybe nobody is posting anything on the threads I have enabled.

Oh, the "new" icon did appear next to "New Hosting" in the list of threads for this board. I think that's all that got changed.

You set up notifications every time you respond to a thread?

Yes. I think I have it set up to automatically do that. Also, I have enabled a few threads where I have not posted. But I still do not get notification of any. I just now verified that the enabling in at least one is in effect, although it behaves as if it is not. Including this one.

Thank you for checking on this.

Seems like the joint shuts down temporarily every day for at least a few minutes after the lunch hour.  Does the new host turn off all the servers while he goes to retrieve his sandwich from the lunchroom every day?
