Your superb photography clearly elicits the incredible beauty of the flowers, arrangements, and plants. The same is true of a right-there mood with the musicians/dancers. You have a gift in knowing exactly what distance to position your camera to get the precise, excellent effect. My hat is off to you. Thank you for posting these wonderful pictures.

I admit that I touch things up in Photoshop, but I restrict myself to stuff that is equivalent to what you would be able to do in a darkroom.

Photoshop enables a skilled artist (like you) to achieve desired results. Similarly, it is permissible for a woman to apply makeup to be more attractive (or in my case, to be less scary). No apologies necessary.

Did you go for the Dale Chihuly exhibit in 2007? Truly awesome!!

We lived in STL in 96 and 97. It was interesting that there were more anglo folk performing and hosting than Japanese at this event.

Didn't get to go to it. Though, if I am not mistaken, there were a few of his stuff, or at least similar works still at the garden:

Well, most of the events there are St. Louis organizations (ikkebana club, bonsai club, taiko club, etc), so naturally there would be more white folk there, as it s locally run. That being said, many of the individual cultural events (tea ceremony for example) were run by Japanese folk.

MOBOT has to be one of the top 3 destinations in STL for me.
