Work on the old United Way HQ is underway. The building will become home to the Quality Hill academy.

Noticed that barriers went up around this building today. Love the progress, hate the blocked sidewalks...
This building continues to have more activity. Walked by today and they are working hard on the interior. This is going to be the offices for this company: http://www.ist4pos.com/ , moving from Prairie Village, KS.

I *think* the first floor is being used as an event space, too; it looked like it was being set up for a wedding when I walked by there a couple Saturdays ago.

Heard from a friend that 1114 Baltimore has a renovation proposal. Studios and one bedroom units above ground floor retail. Rents going below market rate.

I was walking west on 9th street and was really impressed with the volume of work being done between Main and Broadway. You have the renovation of the New England Building, Hotel Savoy and finally two separate apartment projects on Broadway at 9th. Picture below shows Savoy in foreground and apartment projects in background.

Sandbox, a Chicago marketing firm bought two KC companies and consolidating into River Market, former Populous building - about 100 employees. But no net gain for downtown as the two separate companies were downtown anyway...

(Reposted to the correct thread.)

It isn't there anymore, but about a week ago there was a construction dumpster outside the building at the NW corner of 10th & Oak. (I believe it's one of the Abnos slums that would otherwise be a great building if owned by almost anyone else.) I saw people bringing debris out on a couple of occasions. Anything noteworthy going on here?
