This morning I-470 was backed up solid from the triangle to 50 highway, again. 71 was also backed up beyond Main St.
This is just an amazing traffic jam and I think when the triangle is wide open in a few years, we are going to see brand new traffic jams pop up all over the south part of the city on both sides of the state line.
It will be interesting.

Grandview Triangle...
The Triangle project is really only meant to address the current growth in the southern suburbs. If Lee's Summit, Cass County, south Joco, etc. keep handing out building permits like Halloween candy, then it's their fault when the Triangle clogs up again. MoDOT has already said that increased sprawl in this area will eventually overwhelm even the best improvements that could be made to the Triangle.
