I was listening to the traffic report on the radio just a min ago and they said Structure Fire in the Power & Light District at 13th & Grand?

Any word?

As long as it doesn't affect the Midland tonight!

there were reports of a minivan with maryland plates eastbound on 70.

there was a riot on the streets

Well I made an extra trip to drive by, but there was nothing. No visible fire, no police activity nota so who knows.
A lot of news crews were parked on Grand in front of Sprint Center, but it looked like there was something going on there tonight.

Big KU game tonight at Sprint Center I believe.

EDIT -- something to do with basketball anyway, I don't know if KU is involved tonight. Maybe someone who actually reads the sports section of this board can take a look and report back....

That explains it, I saw a lot of people walking around in KU shirts.

KU fans?  KCTV 5?  In Downtown KCMO?  No wonder there's mass confusion!  We're talking about KU fans and KCTV 5 in a viberant urban core.  They don't know what to do...or where to park without getting towed.


Or...maybe they think the KU basketball team will set the Sprint Center on fire tonight...and that would be the "stucture fire"?

If they're reporting its by the Power and Light District, that probably means the fire is just of 41st and Troost.
