Sprint Center Accoustics
Interesting article in the Star today about the accoustics in the Sprint Center and how they have varried per show - http://www.kansascity.com/703/story/819619.html. Upshot seems to be that the success or failure will vary based on the technicians and that if it sucks, it's the engineers fault. Seems to make sense. I haven't been to a concert there yet but I have heard some negative feedback from those who have. Anyone else have strong thoughts?

Thought the sound at The Police was OK when I saw it live. Not great. I have it on CD and it doesn't sound bad. Although, the sound for Elvis Costello (opened for Police) was brutal. I've heard that's a recurring problem at Elvis shows.
If it doesn't have street-level retail, it's an abortion.

It's a sports arena, not a concert hall. Set your expectations accordingly.

Depends on where you're sitting. I've been to shows where the sound is great and shows where there's a horrible echo and speaker feedback. Some friends of mine actually left The Police (along with lots of people sitting in their section) early because the sound was so bad. I was sitting in an entirely different area and thought it was fine.

Anything is better than having concerts at Sandstone and Kemper is not any better.
