¡Burrito Bros.! (not, as I thought, iBurrito) in the River Market
What I thought was a lame-ass attempt to claim the Apple computer market turned out to be Spanish punctuation. My bad.
In any case, this place has been "coming soon" for quite a while. Does anyone know anything about it?

That's beautiful.

I saw the sign yesterday. I'll have to ask, next time I'm there. There's no such thing as too many burrito places.

Re: ¡Burrito Bros.! (not, as I thought, iBurrito) in the River Market
Max'd it from Crown Center to River Market to check the place out.
The husband/wife duo was very pleasant and warm. The wife was a little like a deer and headlights. I apparently was their "first customer" since "opening". (They had soft opening or something apparently.) I ordered a steak burrito. They sprinkle the cheese on the tortilla and then put it in a steamer which if you're too close to the counter, blows steam all over you. The husband - who was very corny - said they give free facials while you wait. Then he kept adding "love" on to the end of everything. Steak love, rice love, pepper and onion love. Slightly annoying but I got over it. The rice had a little more flavor than that burrito giant's, and the steak was MUCH leaner. Seems the last few times I've eaten Chipotle (and I have one a block from my house) the steak has been hit or miss...some gristly and crunchy pieces. Burrito Bros had really good quality steak and it was more tender. The peppers and onions were crunchy and not soggy. Black beans, fresh diced pico and a roasted pepper salsa topped off my burrito. With a 20 oz bottle of Coke, my total was $9.06. All in all I liked this place a lot, and I think it's an awesome burrito counter. Very reminiscent of Chipotle, a little too much. They just need some plywood/sheet metal aztec artwork and Bam! But it was very good and I wish them well. My whole lunch outing took 1 hour to bus it and get back. I'll be back.

Agreed, they definitely could spice things up a bit. I liked what I ordered but something a little creative would be nice.

We had lunch there yesterday. I thought it was quite tasty and pretty reasonably priced. Unlike Chipotle, you get a handful of chips along with your burrito.
The menu is pretty simple for now, mainly just burritos, tacos and quesadillas, but they have 6 or 7 filling choices for each.
Had a conversation with the chef and he is planning to slowly expand the menu, including things like soups and fish tacos. He gets most of his ingredients right from the City Market, so that is pretty cool.

Went there on Saturday. The beat was much better than chipotle and al of the ingredients were fresher. It did seem to be missing a little extra flavor with some spices but other than that, I'll be eating here quite often. I'm thinking about going back tonight to try a quesadilla.

Wife and I ate there saturday, liked it better than Chipolte.Had the chicken they need to drain the juice a little better before they put it on the burrito, but it was big and good.

Had lunch here today, steak burrito, good stuff. The steak is thick slices of top sirloin or london broil, it seems, rather than a more finely textured grilled carne asada. The hottest sauce seemed about right, not too hot. Seemed like really nice people.

The owner might have a corny sense of humor but he is a very nice guy. They respond well to customer suggestions and are interested in working with the neighborhood to serve us well. It is nice to have another quick service option open in the evening and the product is excellent.

The owner and wife both work in the restaurant, and are friendly people. The food is tasty. Seems like the type of business to be supported...

I was in yesterday and had the Chorizo burrito. Really tasty but also really messy. All the salsa, grease from the chorizo, and the pico juices just ran all over the place. I think the owner was there (white guy with blue tooth headpiece?) and was friendly but in no way overbearing. As I was eating someone came in and greeted the burrito maker (Kyler or Tyler) so he is still there for whoever was asking. Overall, a pleasant experience

I had the chorizo burrito the first time I went in, and while I was impressed with the customer service, the burrito was so-so. I went in again a week or so later and had a chicken burrito that I thought was outstanding.
I hope this place stays.

Anyone know where they get their chorizo?
