anybody know what's up with this building?  it sides up to about the west side of the 3700 block of gillham, but looks like it fronts 37th.  somebody fixed up an old apartment building (new windows, stucco, and some odd tile on the sides), and I thought I saw a sign for condos 4-5 months ago, but now it's boarded up.

The old Outrigger?  Directly across from the park, used to have some silly sixties Tiki trim?

It is right across from the park.  The only feature i remember from the old building were the strange big windows on the stairwells that used to face down at about a 30 degree angle.

That building is so gross.  Hope they tear it down!!

Yep, that was the Outrigger,the only Polynesian apartment on Gillham!  There was also an apartment building north of the Plaza on Summit called the Molokai that had flaming torches 24/7 out front!
