i saw that there was an estate sale at the house on the (almost) NE corner of morningside and meyer and a huge sign posted saying the house would be for sale for $329 and the vacant lot on the corner for $129. I remember every year, the guy had a huge vegetable garden planted on that lot. i hope the lot is zoned residential and not commercial.

If it's the house with the huge garden, isn't that at 63rd St, not Meyer?

The owner, August Dubert, is the older guy who you might remember as being pulled over on the side of the road and getting wailed on by his kid a few months back. He's probably tired of tending for such a large property and house. His kids have all got to be mid 40's and over.
