Eastland to get four new office buildings...
It's not on the internet, but the Examiner had a large story on how Eastland is landing several more class A office buildings. The story goes on to say that this is rather impressive because construction of office buildings in suburban KC has all but stopped. Only San Fransisco has higher suburban vacancy rates, yikes (thanks Sprint and Farmland). Lee's Summit is also building a few buildings. I think developers are starting to catch on that there are hundreds of thousands of people in the east burbs that HAVE to commute and taking advantage of it. The article also stated that another hotel and even more resturaunts are coming to Eastland.

That's really good news, especially for people commuting to Joco who might have a closer option someday. How tall are the buildings? The city and developer have been fighting over this project for a few years now. The city wants 5+ stories in Eastland and a major office park like Corporate Woods, but the developer has become resistant and has been pushing for things like doctors offices and such.
