Once upon a time about fifty years ago, KC had more buildings over 10 stories than any inland city other than Chicago.

Then, why couldn't we keep up?  :(

The Great Cow Insurrection of 1945 brought all building to a halt for many years. Everyone was out rounding up cows.

You know there is something up when 11 out of the 13 replies are from one person and even the person that started the thread.

yea and the same person has like 14 replies on another thread that they started and keeps it locked up to no other replies.

Some people can't read introductory paragraphs introducing the topic, and that serve to set up the theme of the thread by introducing examples. Others can't be constructive by using the time to think up, and prepare, examples in advance of the stated embargo release date.

Some might use the time to digest, and write up thought-provoking and insightful replies to posts on threads.  Others would rather take snips at others instead of replying to the topic at hand.

Last night at the KC Library lecture, "Architecture and the City," architect Manuel Roca made the statement that cities are never neutral; a city in either in the process of destruction or construction.  The people are either building up their city, or tearing it down.

It would appear that people are like that too.

The cities and photos were listed as separate posts simply because it makes it easier for others to quote them individually, instead of having to quote the entire post and then go through and cut out all the irrelevent text. I imagined I was being courteous.

I think we should start doing that for our photo threads!  &

If you'd like to make it easier to quote, then why not do what I do?  I put numbers with the pictures, so that all anyone has to do is find the correct number, and then quote that.  Just a suggestion.  :)
