Why do the offices and hotel have to go east of Oak? Take the gas station and storage place or tear out the new bank building just south of where home plate would be integrating the old KC Star building into the stadium.

What's the smallest now? Target Field? Didn't Populous have to fit that one into a tight spot?

Fenway N/S is under 500'. Grand to Oak currently is 610 feet wide, 820 feet truman to 17th. Target is 800' x 730'

It doesn't matter if the vote is next week or in a year, changes are going to happen as the public has time offer feedback. Sure, if you want to say they agreed to change it now in order to help the vote, fine but who cares. That's politics.

They said Oak will remain open, they didn't say it will remain straight. I dropped some basic drawings in here months ago showing how a small stadium could work while adjusting Oak a bit. Very common around baseball stadiums.

Hard to imagine how they'll fit a stadium strictly between Oak and Grand. About 100 feet short of even the smallest modern stadium width.

I assume this is before cutting into the City street right-of-way? Seems like plenty of room if you account for some of that.

Interested to see how going from very traditionally shaped Kauffman to one of the leagues smallest stadiums that will also now probably be very asymmetrical goes over with older /suburban/traditionalist type voters.

Yeah at minimum they will cut oak in half. If they are tabling buying up buildings east side of Oak they can't make it too crooked (yet)

Stadium design minimally impacted by keeping Oak open. Grand side will likely have a less dramatic and more narrow sidewalk.

Confirmed they still plan to buy all they can across Oak and proceed with developing that block.

Signed Lease agreements are done. Of course, some will say there's not enough detail but this vote needs to happen before more detail can be added.
