I dropped in last night and the place was rockin. Truly one of the hippest spots in town and doesn't feel like KC.
Being Cash only prevents me from visiting more often. Hate carrying cash

Hey, I was there on Friday night as well!

The ATM only has a $1 service fee, so there's no need to plan ahead for having cash on hand.

I’m confused: Are we still talking Farmhouse when we refer to cash only? I’ve used plastic there every time. (Assuming I missed something in the thread.)

The parking lots on the SE corner of 3rd and Oak (2 lots with vacant land between) have a hearing at the CPC tomorrow. Apparently, they did not have the necessary special use permit for non-accessory parking.

The staff is recommending the permit not be approved, so hopefully the owner will end up selling or developing the land.

I wonder if this case could impact the tear down of the Lane building for MORE accessory parking, a clear change of use for the Lane's parcel?

A couple of new options coming in the River Market this summer. Our Daily Nada opening in July, Freestyle Poke this weekend, and I just heard a rumor that The Mixx might open a place in the area down here. Not sure if the Mixx would keep both P&L and RM if they did that though.

Freestyle Poke at 5th and Delaware in River Market scheduled for grand opening this Saturday. Looking forward to this one.

They've been finishing up the patio the last few weeks.

The Poke bowl place had a long line before it opened. Thought about trying it but line too long. Will try over lunch next week.

Freestyle Poke has now officially bumped someone else off of my regular rotation.
The spicy tuna with forbidden rice concoction (You get to make 6 or 8 choices in ingredients) was great to the last bite.
Everything was clearly top quality and tasty.

Samsies. The zucchini noodles are a nice option and I honestly don't like zucchini

Tried the poke bowl place over lunch and liked it. Tried spicy ahi tuna suggested bowl. The options/ingredients are better than other poke places I've tried, including Atlanta and Tampa recently. Tasty, zesty, fresh - great balance. A line was out door entire time but moved fairly fast. Under 10 min to register if at the door. Much prefer poke bowl format over sushi and I like sushi. Hope it's not just a trend.

$10 for a small bowl is a decent lunch portion.

I concur. Ate there last night and tried 3 bowls ("Good" size bowl, which is the smaller of the 2 options and plenty of food), they were all very different and all excellent. They didn't have beer but had just received their license and expect they will be selling booze real soon.

I ate there early evening (really good by the way) and I had a beer and someone else ordered wine while I was there. So pretty sure they have their liquor license.
