The old license always said "John's Food & Drink", but apart from that I've always seen it as "John's Big Deck".  I personally call it "John's Big Deck" when I'm referring to the rooftop bar.  I prefer the street level bar personally.

There's currently no liquor license at this location and no listing yet for a new application, so it could be a while.

New owners hope to reopen John’s Big Deck at 928 Wyandotte St. The three story tavern features a roof-top deck.

The "foodsnob" is looking for a scoop on John's Deck?

Weird.

New sign up in the former Graffiti Grill/Cafe Trio location on Broadway - something like Nu Nu's Cafe.

Huh, I thought they had already closed when their P&L location went belly up. Too bad. Gotta be mismanagement, right? My impression was the flagship location was always busy.

Terrible building. What is that 5 belly up places, all of them pretty decent, in the space of 5 years. Probably not enough parking.

Terrible building, and entirely too detached from the streetscape further west. Zero foot traffic. Nobody's going there unless they're driving specifically to that building. Sad. I liked both Pangea and Amor Picante, but I only went to each once and never even realized any other businesses occupied this space. Miserable little building. I hope it burns down.

I couldn't find this mentioned elsewhere (I'm just learning the newish search system), but has anyone noticed the Drink space is being completely redone? It looks great, just curious if anyone has heard what's going in? I look forward to whatever it might be, that space was in desperate need of a tenant, hopefully it's a good one!

Interesting choice to lookout over SW Trafficway with those huge windows. In any event I'm very happy someone is doing something with it instead of it sitting infinitely as a red eyesore that reminds me of Larry Johnson's "incident" there every time I go by!!

I thought The Drink building was going to be torn down, and the owner had plans to redevelop that stretch of the street on the east side.

This mornings NBC local news reported that Italian Gardens Express is giving away free food today, and then will close while looking for new location.

I am trying to imagine a location where they would succeed and get along with their neighbors. I can't.

having never been to Italian Gardens To Go, can somebody explain to me what the difference is with this drive-through traffic compared to every other drive through in the suburbs?
