What are the hours?  I swear, every time I go down to the west end of the Boulevard there's never a sole in sight.

Not open Sunday or in the evenings.  I think it is 11:00 to 3:00.  Really terrible hours, but those would be the hours I would work if I only wanted to be open for lunch and have Sundays off.  They do some events in the restaurant, though I couldn't tell you how often.

Apparently they make all the money they need.  They are always packed.

Sad to see Muddy's close on 51st. A blow to the area and UMKC. Not sure I understand how a coffee shop couldn't make it there.

Sounds like the owners just wanted out and the potential buyers (employees) couldn't make it happen.

American Century, the landlord, cut the trees down on Main Street letting in too much sun during the lunch hours, so they are re-tinting the windows and will have new decals up soon.  They weren?t sure if trees are going to be replanted so they went with the darker tint.
I'll have what the gentleman on the floor is having.

Is Upper Deck really closed?  I can't find anything about it.

Carly Sue's in Brookside/Waldo just closed (though not surprised)

Stopped by and read the sign on the door, it says there is a new owner and it is re-opening "soon".

Is the word "Upper" listed anywhere on the building? Everybody calls it that, but everything I've ever seen has said, "John's Big Deck." "Upper Deck" makes me think of disgusting fraternity pranks.

I always called that a "Top Shelf" unless we aren't talking about the same thing.

I always take unconscious exception to the words, "John's Upper Deck" as well, as my name is John. So it sounds like a hands-in-the-air complaint about how we can never have John over, because he defecates where he shouldn't.

Whereas "John's Big Deck" sounds close to a compliment on the size of John's phallus.
