My mom confirmed from the Town Pavillion parking garage that my eyes deceived me and I was just looking at water.  The bulldozers driving through it should have clued me in on that haha.

I was told precast sections won't be going in for another several weeks (6-8).

Today, on the CIMO webcam I noticed a concrete mixer down in the pit for the first time.  I think this is the first step for precast sections to go in.  On the H&R Block site, before any precast section were put in concrete was laid around the edges of the walls; I assume this is used to support the precast stuff.

I would imagine precast garages still use traditional concrete foundations, and that the concrete is going to need a period of time to cure before the precast is loaded onto it.

Picture a jet of water with the force of several fire hoses smashing into it, carrying mud and stone and chunks of pavement with it.

I'm surprised that the sign wasn't installed until right before construction was complete. A water main break of this magnitude is a fluke, but wouldn't they be concerned about damage by construction equipment or materials?

With all the exterior work done, there really wouldn't be any othe rmajor equipment outside.  Plus, this is supposed to opeen in a couple of months, so they can't wait for the rest of the P&L District to be finished before putting up their signs.

I'm sure the insurance company of the crew that broke the water main will be footing the bill for replacing the sign, not Jury.

Is it my imagination or has some actual construction begin on this block FINALLY?

from my vantage point (which is mostly blocked by the new tower) I see what looks like a pile of girders.    And take a look at the webcam... the very bottom corner in the center.  Does that looks like something being erected?

I asked my mom to check this out from her garage and she said there's still nothing going on, but it does look like they are finally leveling out the pit.

Pics today from my mom.  No idea what they are doing with that elevated portion but it looks like they're flattening much of it out, and beginning to clear out the southern end.

so based on what the plan calls on to go there, i see some major progress happening there on site clearing, but is there any talks of stuff starting to get built there? and if so what it definitely is, versus the pretty colored drawings that say hip bowling club, and country western bar??

That pit they've dug is absolutely staggering; pictures just don't quite do it justice, you've got to stand next to it and take it in.
