Re: Three Light
Yeah I'm not sure what the term "surveying" means exactly. There were two guys in the lot with a tri-pod type device like what surveyors use for leveling and whatnot and yesterday morning he was there again, both times around 7:30 am. Only vehicles in the lot at the time was a truck, presumably theirs and the Main entrance was blocked.

Re: Three Light
I saw the surveyors the other day and a person taking a picture of them with their phone. Had the thought, “Has to be a kcrag poster.”

I ran into Marnie earlier in the week. She said they are looking at an April groundbreaking

Does anyone know if April is still go time on this? Guess I'm getting anxious on a snowy day before CHIEFS game!

Re: Three Light
Wouldn’t we see some permitting activity this month if that is the case?

Re: Three Light
Seems like Three Light might be dead. Any time a project drags out this long, it typically dies.

Re: Three Light
I'd bet anything 3 light is not dead. Cordish has KCMO over s barrel on it getting built.

Re: Three Light
Yeah I thought I read somewhere that ground breaking was Spring 2019? Three Light has already been approved incentives. But I do think Cordish is dragging their feet a bit, probably after the City council made such a big fuss out of a legally binding contract.

sounds like it will be end of 2019 (9-10 months from now) when they plan on applying for construction permits per my source.

Re: Three Light
From what I've heard, they're still looking toward 1st Quarter 2019 to begin construction. But who knows if that ends up getting further delayed--everything else has.

Re: Three Light
Does anyone have any updates in regards to this project? I'm surprised it's gone quiet and we're basically towards the end of Q1.

Re: Three Light
How's the occupancy rate for high end downtown units looking today? A recent Biz Journal report said that Plaza occupancy is not all that great for upper end units. Would imagine 3L delayed until occupancy rates at a level they want to see (for higher end units beyond 1/2 Light).

They have yet to purchase some of the more significant scopes on the project. However, pre-con + procurement is very much active. From what I hear, they will be looking to purchase some of the big scopes relatively soon. Doesn’t sound like the project is stalled or on hold to me.
