There was an event at the library last night with Bruce Katz, the author of "A New Localism" It was a good event overall, but some old man used the public comment period as an opportunity to rail against this project. I remember him saying "We all agreed it wouldn't happen, but its being built right now!" Totally off topic, not related to anything in the book. Fun times.

I considered it, but no. The person sitting next to him clapped, while everyone else stayed silent, which is almost as good as a boo.

This has been fascinating to watch go up. Most of what I've seen so far has been unitized and trucked in. Not unusual for precast panels and hollowcore planks, but even the wood frame walls have come in already assembled.
