I will accept a substandard design for their taking on a hard location. Pick your battles and all that.

One thing about this project is the building has been a magnet of horrible graffiti through the years. Looks like that issue is finally resolved.

looks like the name has changed slightly to "Crossroads Westside".

why it's taken so long:
Cityscape had to remove three buildings from the site and is completing demolition of the last and largest, an old Jones Store warehouse. The firm also had to work with multiple parties to assemble the land, acquire easements and preserve billboard view corridors.
Thomas said that overcoming the challenges was worth the effort because "it was one of the largest tracts available in the Crossroads (Arts District)."

This will really transform the look of that area from the interstate. That's a huge site.

If you haven't been by this spot the first floor is up for at least part of it. This project looks great so far. It make under I-35 right there look less uninviting, and that's hard to do.

masonry (dark brick facing pennway) has appeared, the southwest boulevard facade looks fully formed, and the garage access under I-35 has taken shape. doesn't look like they're leasing yet:

Thanks for sharing! Do we have an opening date? Looks like it'll be ready in early 2018 if not sooner.
