^Does KCMO allow cycling while intoxicated?

This place sounds great.  Looking forward to checking in.  Maybe it's time for Iggy to reveal his identity.

It's the same charge as driving drunk, but from many stories I've heard, the police will not go after a drunk biker if they aren't causing any trouble. That said, you've got to be insane to ride drunk.

Did the bikes have gears?  Just want to make sure it isn't THAT kind of place.   Why go to a bar with 200 options when all you want is PBR in a can?

A slight majority had gears. When I walked in, I saw a couple locking up. They had a fixie and a geared. Dangerboy had gears, my friend and I had only one, two bikes on another rack had gears.

So, it isn't totally that kind of place. :-)

I'm thinking of getting a tandem so my girlfriend can take me to Flying Saucer.  Maybe a side car too.

I must be missing the bike-guy joke here?  I'm looking to buy a bike so I want to make sure I'm not on the wrong side of the cool bike crowd.

The beer brat plate is yummy.  Nothing like brats, sauerkraut, and a Reissdorf Kolsch.

There is a distinct subset of cyclist - The Bicycling Hipster - in addition to the normal hipster stereotypes, the Bicycling Hipster tends to prefer to ride vintage singlespeed bikes and looks down his nose at modern cycling developments such as multiple gears or helmets (which might flatten his hipster hair-do).

Has anyone logged into their UFO club yet?  Well, besides me?    If you haven't, it asks for a password, in which I had no clue what it was.  However, you can just reset it and they send you a new one to your email address.    I think I'll be heading back down today!

I should add that whether or not the Bicycling Hipster is on the right or wrong side of the "cool bike crowd" is going to be a matter of intense disagreement amongst cyclists and probably goes to far deeper existential questions than merely your choice of steed.  I am guessing that if you enjoyed your night of bottle service at Mosaic - you might not fit in with the Bicycling Hipster "cool bike crowd".  :D

Totally illegal, so please don't do it.

But basically, you upload your picture to a hosting site, get the url to it from there, and post the url here like so:

Code: Select all

Plus since they rotate beers any scanned menu would be out of date soon anyway. :)
