Reminds me of the lathe under an old plaster wall.

Looks more like the lattice that they use in a lot of the airport terminals. That will look nice when they get it all finished.

call me crazy, but i actually kind of liked that gridwork they had up there.  i think i'll like the finish too though.

then again, i'm not a very critical kind of guy - i like a lot of things.

I think it looks good.

Are they putting up siding?

They've started peeling off the protective white adhesive from the "lattice" work exposing a similar silver look to the rest of the building.

They only have nine days to wrap this thing up.

After three years of defendign the Bloch addition.  I must say it...

Damn, it looks like aluminum siding.  Why are we such a backwards cowtown?

I love it. It's not aluminum siding but more like the hardwood on a basketball court.

Looks to me like it could be used to reflect a beam of light across  Downtown KC!

big "poster" (i'm not sure if poster is the exact term though) of the reigning college player of the year, Kevin Durant.  i'd assume, or at least hope, that it will change every year.

Actually it is a sheet of plastic adhered to the inside of the glass of the large window. The pictures on the north side of the building are the same thing. They do look great though. The basketball player kind of reminds me of the basketball player on the basketball building that used to stand in the P&L district.

I'm assuming that light will eminate through the aluminum slats?  If so, that west facade will look pretty stunning at night.

Definitely a great observation, if true.  I'm not exactly enthralled by this building, but it looks better than I thought it would from the renderings, and if light does eminate from behind the slats, then you are right -- it will look stunning.

From the rendering on the SC website the slats were supposed to run vertical instead of horizontal.

Looks like they're putting some type of display board on the south side, facing the plaza.
