I think Chiefs fans need to send a message to get rid of Carl or else.
But I'm a bit surprised how quickly the city is turning its back on the Chiefs. I mean that stadium in Oakland was full and why are those fans still there?
I understand the need to send that message, but I would hate for KC to drop to the bottom 1/3 of NFL attendance in the next year or so. That wouldn't exactly be good either.
The Chiefs are lucky, the new stadium should help keep attendance from becoming a total embarrassment to the city.
We already have the Royals for that.

#1 - Oakland plays in one of, if not the, smallest stadiums in the league.
#2 - heading into this week there seems to have been some feelings of optomisim in Oakland that things were coming together, with even talk of an outside chance of making the playoffs with a down division.
explain the bengals, no playoff win since what, the 1980's? their stadium remains full. explain cleveland, no direction, again, one winninng season in the last 6, stadium full. explain ralph wilson in buffalo. stadium full, team sucks, again. as usual. since kelly and levy walked that franchise has sucked ass, yet they keep a full stadium.

All three of those teams were thought to be legit playoff contenders at the start of the season when they were selling season tix.
I guess some people are happy to pay for an inferior product, if it means that other people won't call them "bandwagoners".

I went to the Chiefs-Bills game and it was pretty full at the beginning of the game, at least, much fuller than I expected it to be. I'm not sure what we're really complaining about.
Chiefs are #4 in NFL attendance for 2008, despite completely sucking balls for the past 2 seasons.

i wonder why it was so full.
oh yea, i personally gave away 100 tickets. that helped.

Apparently the defensive front must have heard all the talk radio chat last week about needing to find their replacements in the off season. It didn't even look like the same group. Either that, or the Chargers' O-lineman have some sort of phobia of touching people wearing red.
Gotta love a team that always finds a way to piss away the game. I feel sorry (well, not really) for the fans who sat out in that bitter cold, only to be teased until the very end. Not a great way to start the work week.

We did have a sack, which I believe ties our season high for sacks in a game.
It was actually three sacks - which matches 50% of our season total going into the game. 5 out of our 9 sacks have now come against the Chargers. I was being serious - it looked like a totally different unit - they were getting the pocket collapsed quite a bit too; something they have failed to do. Rivers threw a lot of passes at the ground/out of bounds - something I haven't seen an opposing QB do all year.
I won't lay any blaime for that loss on the D. The chargers have too many weapons for your offense to go completely dead in the second half.
