Watch to see what large companies do. They have to attract employees, and I think I read more than half of all new college graduates are women. Will they have difficulty recruiting women in those states, will business leaders start pressuring legislatures? We'll see.

Tony Lovasco, who according to his legislative biography has worked in software deployment and maintenance, tweeted Thursday that “it’s clear the Governor’s Office has a fundamental misunderstanding of both web technology and industry standard procedures for reporting security vulnerabilities.
“Journalists responsibly sounding an alarm on data privacy is not criminal hacking,” he said.
Chris Vickery, a California-based data security expert, told The Independent that it appears the department of education was “publishing data that it shouldn’t have been publishing.
“That’s not a crime for the journalists discovering it,” he said. “Putting Social Security numbers within HTML, even if it’s ‘non-display rendering’ HTML, is a stupid thing for the Missouri website to do and is a type of boneheaded mistake that has been around since day one of the Internet. No exploit, hacking or vulnerability is involved here.”

It seems like our governor and attorney general seem hellbent on prosecuting other parties for trying to do the right thing in their own parts of the public realm.
Parson is just embarrassed because he's such an idiot, so let me give him some free PR advice. The proper thing for a governor to do in this situation is to thank the newspaper and journalist for pointing out the flaw before some identity thief found it, and for holding off printing the story (their job) until the state had time to correct it.
Perhaps Parson has a bad chief spokesperson who should have sit him down before issuing that statement and explained to him that the newspaper and journalist were doing their constitutionally-protected function holding government accountable, and that any prosecution would most likely end in failure.
I used to be a public information officer for the State of Arizona. That's what I would have done. If the governor still insisted on issuing that statement, I would have resigned my job because I won't work for someone that stupid.

Really describes the problem so many have with politics even when they agree with the goals.

It appears the Governor's penchant to prosecute the journalist for notifying the state about the data insecurity was just to cover his own incompetence.

It was only a matter of time once Crimea went in 2014, just got delayed when Trump inadvertently got elected.

I think they invaded so they can take over the Pipeline that supplies Europe. I think Russia pays Ukraine about 2 billion a year for that pipeline. Europe should just say FU to Russia and say we don't need the pipeline anymore and punish Russia monetary wise. We need to end these Petro States all over the world.

Prob moderate/normal GOP voters who don't wanna vote Greitens but can't stomach voting for a Dem either. So basically peel 7% off the GOP base, and then hope enough vote Dem to tip the race. The biggest problem is the red wave could just overcome all that anyway.

Will the abortion topic be a big mover of votes? I tend to think not.
Both parties are to blame for this but it's hard to not place blame of dems for failing to codify Roe. They just raise too much money off the topic.

The Dems thought they had it made in the shade when Obama went into office in 2009. Of course that period did not last long. To an extent it has been downhill for them since. Yes they currently have control of the Presidency, the Senate, and the House but come the elections in November it's likely they will lose both the House and Senate. The party definitely needs some new, younger blood in leadership positions in Congress and maybe Biden (and possibly Harris) should set aside in 2024 so there is young, new blood at the top of the ticket.
