Did you not look at the stoplight....

Did I miss or does anyone know what the hold up is in getting this completed? I was under the impression this was to be completed in April.

revised early august opening has also passed. pretty sure they're waiting on the garage to be complete.

Have they reopened Baltimore? It looked as thought they might have, but I couldn't see for sure.

Yes, Baltimore is open to two-way traffic, but is still particially closed directly in front of the hotel.

The garage is getting a decent exterior design, it's not going to just be grey concrete, and there's a now hiring banner up on it.

stopped in for a drink last night and toured a few rooms (one of each flag). nicely done, standard marriott. corporate trainer said the hotel was nearly full because of the sprint center show. i don't think they have a retail tenant for the garage yet.

Maybe it's the cam settings but that room is otherwise extremely bright for a lounge - white ceilings for lounge too? Hmm.

The garage is getting the centropolis treatment with large metal louvres covering the front facade. I'm a little bummed that something more visually interesting wasn't used to hide the parking.

CPTED likely says not to hide it completely. Bringing in light and letting screaming for help out is just as important.

I get that. But it would be nice if art was somehow incorporated into the facade...this is the arts district, after all.

"How is your screaming out decibel carry on your parking garage visual shade?"

"I'd say quite good to good"

My parents are staying here right now. The lobby/lounge and their room (the Residence Inn side) are really nice. The lounge is an offshoot of the hotel lobby, not somewhere anyone but unadventurous business travelers will go. They have a small selection of bottle beer priced higher than beers at Anton's 100 yards away.

Do they plan on putting anything on the front of the building? It's just a blank brick wall with that rustic looking metalwork. It feels like it's missing a sign or something.
