Re: Chiefs
Everyone seems to have missed the biggest point about Good vs Bad QB's and their need...
Croyle has yet to prove whether he IS a Good or Bad qb...If I'm reading these posts correctly all the self proclaimed experts on here seem to believe he is already proven to be bad...after just a handfull of starts...which considering the OLine and drop-the-ball corps surrounding him, doesnt seem to bad anymore..
Remember....MOST important QB's in the history of the NFL have NOT been drafted in the top 2 rounds. Period. What makes you think a 1st or 2nd round QB is any better in the NFL (NOT COLLEGE) than a 3rd 4th or 5th round pick???? Or better yet, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK A 1st or 2nd Round QB WILL SOLVE THIS TEAMS OFFENSIVE ISSUES???...Please, Pull the C*CK* out of your ear and go watch some chiefs football!!! Do we NOT remember the SUCESS THAT TRENT GREEN HAD HERE???...(With a decent Oline) HE WAS NOWHERE NEAR AN ELITE QB *Another QB could be a MAJOR bust and make Croyle the Star for another team that we only wish we still had*
Think about all the teams each year to reach the playoffs without a major draft day QB, and then think about all the first round draft busts sitting at home playing croquet because they aren't part of the playoff party.

What's graciously given to KC, is strong for the region as a whole. Passion and benevolence will one day exeem towards all whom know true adoration. We shall triumph to better the community as One within

Re: Chiefs
That's kind of what I was saying. Croyle could easily suck, but he could also turn out to be good. Casting judgment now is stupid. I remember when KC was collectively shitting on Trent Green, calling him TrINT and screaming for his head...didn't take long before they forgot all about that and suddenly he's the Golden Boy. You just never know. Personally I'm not a Croyle fan right now, and I think the chances are good he'll stink up the place all year--but that's mainly because it's really hard to find a good quarterback and the odds are against him, not because of anything he's done or not done up to this point. If he starts rocking the field, I'll be thrilled.

I've bitched about it for years, and didn't go much last season b/c of it.Ez Street wrote: people in the lower sections have been bitching for years.

Good to see that many others have notified the franchise they'll stop buying pricey tix unless the sporadic pockets of drunken white trash - who make everyone stand - will sit down in front of them at least occasionally.

It's an old rule that is getting exposure due to the yahoo blog post...nobody listens to it. They announce to "avoid continuous standing" before every game.

Tell yourself that. Fact is, lots of people are complaining. And they're 40-60 yr old people, which is the richest demo that the Chiefs (and any biz) have. Piss them off, lose biz.

Tell myself what? I was just saying it's a regulation that they have announced for many years, not new....I assume they do get a lot of complaints and that's why they have announced it.

Favre has apparently demanded an unconditional release today. Anyone think he would look good in red and gold? Maybe Brodie could learn a few lessons on how to use that loose cannon arm to his advantange?

I can't imagine he has much enthusiasm playing for a 5-11 team.LenexatoKCMO wrote: Favre has apparently demanded an unconditional release today. Anyone think he would look good in red and gold? Maybe Brodie could learn a few lessons on how to use that loose cannon arm to his advantange?

well i would assume more than one, which is what we are at now. unless jaws made the hall and no one told me.phxcat wrote: What is the record for recycled hall of fame QBs for one franchise?
one side of me says, hell yeah, favre running around arrowhead would be awesome. but the difference between joe montana coming here and brett favre is HUGE. when marty talked montana into coming here, we literally were one player away. we are no where near one player away. i think if favre came here with a healthy LJ, gonzo, and bowe, and the improvement to the line along with what herm is doing to the D, we probably would contend for a playoff spot perhaps. but, that is the issue right there.
see, i know king carl is probably salivating over number 4 being available, and herm edwards is probably saying fuck that, lets keep developing young talent and become a franchise that can compete for YEARS to come, not just one year. and herm edwards is RIGHT ON, we should be building for years to come, not just one.
but i think it is all moot point. the packers will take him back, dont kid yourself. he will play in green bay if anywhere this year i think. i am sure that they do want to move on without favre, but they all know he still can play, and they know that favre is still better than rodgers.
i just cannot see green bay letting favre go. dont see it.

Brodie is the QB of the future, at least the next couple seasons, whether he ends up sucking or not.

atlanta fans said the same thing about brett favre. san diego fans said the same thing about drew brees. jet fans said that about pennington, and not that pennington became a hall of famer or something, but he did lead a few playoff runs.shinatoo wrote: Brodie is not the QB of the future. + The Chiefs season ticket sales are down. = Bring on Bret Farve.
we dont know what croyle can do, and no one can gauge it solely on 2007, sorry, not with that shitass o line.

First round OT Brandon Alberts and second round CB Brandon Flowers have signed. DT Glen Dorsey is still a hold out and Carl says they are no longer negotiating.

Re: Chiefs
Glen seemed to indicate that they hadn't really even started negotiating which sounds like classic Carl - 'why even bother trying to get a deal done in advance when you can wait and start weeks after it had to be done . . .'KCMax wrote: DT Glen Dorsey is still a hold out and Carl says they are no longer negotiating.
