Where did you see this? Was ND ranked high coming into this season?

Don't know why it would be awful...they return a lot of experience on the line and have two good backs, and a good receiving tight end.  Question marks at QB and WR, but not a bare cupboard either.  And OC Shawn Watson has shown himself to be pretty adaptable to what he has to work with.  If Suh comes back on defense, especially, you'd expect improvement.

KU's got skill position and tackles back, I think, and should be good on offense, but the interior line is a question, along with the D.

Mizzou loses a lot of production on offense, but appears to have some talent coming up.  Don't know what to make of their D, they returned a lot this year and were supposed to be much improved, but...

I guess I haven't seen a lot of high rankings for any of these teams and could see any of them plausibly in the 20-30 range, and any winning the north.

Whenever Colorado's good, they tend to come from under the radar a bit, so I wouldn't discount that either.

ND...who knows?  Are they being projected as highly ranked next year? They beat 7-7 Hawaii, so they've got that going for them.

I thought they really did start coming together and looking like a convincing force the second half of the season.  But you are probably right that we shouldn't automatically presume that they will carry that momentum over just because they are Nebraska.  I guess so many of us Big8/North fans are conditioned to think it is inevitable that they are coming back so when they do start showing signs of life its natural to assume the day has come.

AJod...I don't care who we beat...just glad that the embarrassing bowl losing streak is over.

Suh confirmed he's coming back yesterday ... the defense will have to carry the load while a new QB emerges, but we've got some exciting young guys... including a 6'4", 220 lb kid who graduated early and is already on campus this month... Cody Green.  He led his team to the Texas division 4A championship game... in a losing effort he threw 6 touchdown passes and ran for 100 yards.  He's one of those long striders.  As far as targets, there'll be more involvement from the tightends until some go to guys emerge at WR.

I too expect Kansas to win the north next year, although look out for Colorado, which was riddled by injuries this year... will be healthy, with largely the same cast next year.

It keeps getting better for Kansas.  The Nubs snatch another top recruit from Kansas in their own backyard!  Kevin Young (who was by many accounts the biggest verbal in Kansas' class so far) of Olathe, KS is going to Lincoln.  Oh man.  Step one of the downward spiral is losing games (insert 7-5), step two insert the old nemisis Snyder at KSU, step three you start losing what few highly rated recruits from your own backyard to Nebraska.  If my math is correct that is the thrid recruit you have lost to the Nubs alone!  At least you beat Mizzou right!!!

Olathe North defensive end Kevin Young has changed his mind again and appears to be headed to Kansas to play football next fall.

Young orginally gave an oral commitment to Kansas last summer, then switched to Nebraska after a Thanksgiving weekend visit to Lincoln.

But Friday, he he decided to switch back to KU, according to Rivals.com.

Speaking of switching schools, Rivals moved Bryce Brown to the #1 recruit in the country. He took an unofficial visit to Manhattan last weekend and supposedly, he has Oregon and K-State ahead of Miami right now.

I have to question the intelligence of any player who's interested in playing at K-State right now.

Yeah, who would want to play for a legendary coach and an offensive coordinator that was undefeated last year?

Sam Bradford will return to OU. I'd rather play for them than the Lions too.

Saw the TE is coming back too. Is Gerald McCoy? Hopefully they can right the OU ship and get Stoops a win. He's embarrassed the Big XII the last several BCS appearances. Unlike KU in the Orange Bowl!!

Looks like LSU's Recruiting Coordinator may be heading to Mizzou.  Rumor has it he will be replacing Dave Christensen as Oline coach and replace Dave Yost as Recruiting Coordinator.  It would be a huge get.  Maybe we can get back involved with Craig Loston.

If true...that's a huge get. Although I wouldn't expect him to try to poach recruits from LSU.

Hey - you ever going to tell us who these 3 players (by "your count", you told us) are, who bolted KU for Nebraska?  I don't follow this stuff as closely as you do so any info you can provide to help us know, feel free.
