He has no D1 experience.
How does Alden hire a coach that he passed up for the last 3 coaches?

I don't think it was a good hire. I think he can probably out coach Haith but getting kids to buy into a 58 year old rookie DI coach's program is going to be a tough sell. He best surround himself with some proven recruiters.
