He's not necessarily the definitive resource for all things Northeast.

One guy in Northeast had a tunnel from his north-south street to his garage on the east-west street.

A tunnel in the city is one thing, a tunnel in the Northland suburbs would go to "where"?
The nearest house that's 100+ feet away? It isn't feasible nor practical. Anyone with money that built in the Northland burbs would probably have a compound-like mcmansion.
Prove there is a "mob" tunnel in the Northland or stfu.

Now unless you want to discuss Turner KS where you're from, can we get back to Oak Street.
Hmm, unless you live around Vivion & Davidson...
You wanna talk abouit a wop-ghetto!
From what I understand - the tunnels are in both places, Northeast AND that neighborhood near Vivion & Davidson.
Learned it from some very reliable sources.

I Never claimed to be the definitive "all knowing" Northeast source. I've hung out with more than my fair share of old school "Daygs" that were part of the show or were very close to it or "influenced personally" by it. I know a good bit, but its like an iceberg - there's PLENTY more I don't know and don't WANT to know - ya know?

Look, if that stuff fascinates you, maybe you should buy Frank Hayde's new book, "The Mafia & the Machine", the story of Kansas City's mob and Machine connections. Its definitely one you don't put down.

Don't know about the Northeast tunnels but from a guy I use to work with there were tunnels between the houses in the northland neighborhood.  They were built so one could go from one house to another without being seen.  And many years ago there was an article in the paper about this cul-de-sac neighborhood of Italians that you could not enter unless you were permitted by the guard stationed at the entrance.

The guy I worked with was a very good carpenter and did some work in the basements of a few houses there.
I may be right.  I may be wrong.  But there is a lot of gray area in-between.

One of the most infamous mob tunnels isn't even located in the River Quay. It actually runs under State Line Road to KCK from a home in KCMO between 45th & 43rd Streets. It was once a Civella relative's home where FBI agents bugged the house ("Strawman operation") which eventually led to the 1984 convictions of Corky and Tony Civella, Tuffy DeLuna, and Charles Moretina for skimming money from the Tropicana Casino in Las Vegas.

But you're right, I don't know about any mob tunnels in the Northland. There's only family members of several "retired" or deceased mafia figures.  There's also former La Cosa Nostra and family members as far south as Harrisonville and across State Line in Overland Park.

The Pendergast Poltergeist Project!

I finally divorced beer and proposed to whiskey, but I occassionally cheat with fine wine.

I think we know which ethnic group should be in charge of our subway project.
