If it the committee gives its blessing, it goes to the full senate in May - correct?

It was a public hearing, there was nothing to turn out.

You can see with the schedule, the house final vote was a little over a month after the same hearing.
So it's entirely reasonable there will be a decision before mid May

Someone from the student newspaper jumped the gun yesterday with a link claiming the bill was headed for the governor's desk, but it's since been removed.

According to Lynn Horsley, this passed out of the Senate today. The only remaining hurdle is the governor's signature (which may be no small thing).

It helps it's a private money match.

The bill either landed on Governor Greitens desk on April 27th or 28th, and according to Missouri law:

"The governor must sign or veto legislation within 15 days after transmittal, or it becomes law without his/her signature. If transmittal occurs with less than 15 days remaining in the session, the governor must act within 45 days after the end of session, or the legislation becomes law without being signed."

The General Assembly's legislative session ends tomorrow, May 12. If it was transmitted to his office for signing on the 27th, that would be 16 days before the end of the session. So I guess that means he either vetoes it today or tomorrow or it's official!

The bill tracker is interesting, it doesn't show the bill has been sent to the governor but there are a lot like this.

I think they're queueing up a bunch of bills go be reviewed all at once.

Ask yourself who pushed the bill, how their relationship with Greitens is, and what might Greitens want to trade them in return for signing or allowing it.

So what's up? Did this pass without a signature?

The bill status says it hasn't been sent to the governor yet

A lot of house bills are stuck at the same point.
