I need to revise those instructions, as they're kind of out of date due to the user album policy change.

However the city should not bear a bigger risk than the developer if the project does not perform the way it was expected.
I may be right.  I may be wrong.  But there is a lot of gray area in-between.

Thanks.  All impressive shots.  Wouldn't it be nice if the GSA built a modern attractive skyscraper between the ATT longlines building and the Federal Building.  The view down the interior E-W street in the P&L District would be enhanced with something other than the ATT building to serve as a backdrop to the Sprint Arena.

Yes, it would be nice to see a modern building at least 15+ stories go in east of the Sprint Center.  Don't think we will see GSA do it.  There's will most likely be large floor plats and 5-10 stories max.  If all goes as positively with P&L and the Sprint Center as we all hope, then don't be suprised to see some nice development there within the next 10 years.

The next big step for the CBD is to fill up the office space so we will see some new spec. office construction.

That view of the Towne Pavillion from the courtyard looking up the stairs is the best that building has ever looked.

With them it is completely black and white. Either you approve subsidies to every developer who comes along with little or no regard to risk vs. reward, or you want the city to be blighted surface parking.

Well 5 years ago, that WAS the situation downtown Mean.  Agreed it isn't any longer, but they absolutely did the right thing back in 2001-2ish.

I don't begrudge developers making a buck, its the development attorneys(e.g., Aaron March) that concern me.

Anyone notice the announcement on the Cordish site about an incubator program to assist local entrepreneurs to expand into the P&L?

Is it called "Hey you guys at 16th and Grand and Edwards BBQ!  Move here so we can take your buildings!"?  :)

Power & Light District reaches halfway point

Construction of the Power & Light District is 50 percent finished and should be complete by late in the fall, a spokeswoman for The Cordish Co., developer of the project, said Friday.
