(i know this wasn't exactly what you meant Kard, but i thought it would be fun to look at historic pictures with a roughly analogous view).
Looking northeast from the southwest corner of 14th and Walnut.
Looking east along 14th from the west side of Main.

KC Region is all part of the same animal regardless of state and county lines.

It is starting to look very simular to the renderings. This is so cool.

I love how they block the Long Lines with a Bud advertisement in the after picture.

I'm getting very curious as to how those towers are going to look finished. In the renderings they look like opaque glass, but then most of the glass in the renderings looks opaque.

Based on the addresses I've found, the initial diagram of this block isn't going to hold true...looks like Ted's Montana and Famous Dave's will be on this block.
There is a newer site diagram on powerandlightdistrict.com that shows four spaces on the north side of this block.
Something tells me the black tower closest to the arena will be a signature of whatever restaurant/bar goes there...especially since all the other towers are white.

The timbers look like they are being salvaged from a demolition. Must have been creating an early (historically significant) surface level parking lot..........schugg wrote: what's up with those big pieces of timber in that last pic?

That tower was the same plain metal color as the others until they painted it last week, prior to the glass installation. There is no indication that it will be any different for the others.

Some type of screening or scrim going up in top portion of tower, above the roof level and glass sections of tower. Could this be for some lighting effect?

Windows are being installed. This has to be the first block done outside of H&R Block's block.

Not to long and we will be able to totaly enjoy these buildings instead of seeing them at a distance.

Re: P&L District: 14th & Walnut Site Proposal
All the facades along 14th street are done and even the last building to go up on the Live block almost has completed facades. However there is one facade in the middle of this block that has been sitting unfinished for months and no work being done on it. Anyone know why or what is scheduled to go in here?
