notary events today and tomorrow: https://www.facebook.com/pg/streetcarneighbors/events/ (and more to follow)

there will also be a notary on site at the connect KC campaign office, 3100 gillham, starting on june 27.

you can also get free ballot notary on the 2nd floor of the jackson county courthouse (you can then turn your ballot in to the circuit court administrator on the 3rd floor, saving you a stamp). the election board will also notarize ballots for free, as will any bank where you have an account.

if anyone has a mobility issue, contact the campaign or the court for an accommodation: https://www.connectkc.org/ or the court 816-881-6671

If you happen to live in a building with a doorman/concierge, check if any are notaries. It's kind of an 'it thing' for them to become one as a service to offer. My building has two.

How so?

To verify identity.

Will we see numbers start to trickle in, or are all ballots sealed until the election?

Sealed until they are handed over to the election board after the August 1 deadline.

this consultant team will take a fresh look at stops for the southern extension: http://kcstreetcar.org/wp-content/uploa ... 051017.pdf

transit connections, ridership at existing MAX stops, lane choice, travel time, and available right-of-way (if needed) will be taken into consideration.

the goal of this work is to prepare the project for a "small starts" federal grant submission in september 2017.

This is a great sign for the TDD election passing.

This election is effectively the 4th district. People having rode the line went from 42% to 60% in a year

Does the east side of Campbell get to vote, or only the west side of the block? I am on the east and never received my ballot. I have heard the same from others on Campbell.

the center line of campbell is the eastern border for most of the new TDD (until you get to UMKC area), so east side of campbell is out. sorry, gotta draw the line somewhere and streets are pretty reliable borders (as are state lines and rivers).

Some friends of mine live _on_ Campbell (near Armour) and do not qualify to vote, which they are fine with as no TDD tax either. But they want it to pass. If this has a good chance to win you probably would rather not want to be in the TDD if a property owner.
