I saw that security place at 18tb and Baltimore tearing up their building a few weeks ago... Anything good come of that?

LEAD Bank going in this location...ground floor with drive thru on east side. Flrs 2 & 3 will be spec office space.

This whole block will change dramatically in the next few years with this project and the Corrigan redevelopment+ streetcar!

Heard the Corrigan Development is a no go. Owner is planning on keeping it for commercial leasing. Acquiring adequate parking was the deal breaker for the residential.

Guess it is OK to have a drive-thru for a bank but for a restaurant - no.

Ok with me...I think there used to be a drive thru on the east side on the building anyway.

Yea I don't think it's okay either. In fact I hate drive-thru banks waaay more than fast food drive thrus (which is weird because I use drive-thru banks more than fast food). They are no doubt convenient, but drive-thru banks take up more dead space than just about anything else. Think of the drive thru part of Bank of America in Westport. That is an entire block in the middle of one of our most beloved urban neighborhoods. Really wish we could redevelop that site. Also the bank at 18th and Grand is a large wasted space too, at a prime location.

Oh god. Not surprised at all.

I hope they sober up enough to get that made because I want to see it. Probably need to move from Westport before that happens though. My time living in Westport was basically one big blur, and I think everyone else I know feels the same way lol.

Team comes together to redevelop Crossroads properties
After years of work, the renovation of a pair of properties in the Crossroads Arts District by developers Dan Meiners and David Brinkerhoff is nearing completion.
The renovation of about 23,100 square feet of historic property at 1800 and 1818 Wyandotte St. in Kansas City will be complete by the end of the month....

Meiners said 1818 Wyandotte is already home to St. Louis-based video learning company EJ4 LLC, Kansas City-based marketing firm Johnny Lightning Strikes Again LLC, and the Tail Waggin' PetStop. Toye said another business, Crossroads Plant Exchange will be opening at 1800 Wyandotte soon. Meiners and Brinkerhoff said other tenants for space at the buildings are currently being considered, but he wants to be selective.

Looks like a kitchen / grocery store based on this incomplete website I found:

Looking at the LCRA agenda for this week, it looks like 1915 Main, formerly the DB Warehouse, is looking for incentives to be turned into office lofts. It would renovate the 3 story building, possibly adding a fourth floor. But, it uses two lots, 1917 Main to the south, and one behind it on Walnut for surface parking.

Here is a link to their LCRA application.
