Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
June Stats are out!
Down 0.87 on the month over 2018. First down month in awhile but I figured the MAX issues aren't helping things. Hopefully we get them up next month!
Still up 0.59% on the year at least.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Have heard that the Max issues really torpedoed Icelandair service for KC. Have not heard that it’s officially gone. On the bright side, Aer Lingus plans on expanding to MO in the very near future.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Aer Lingus has been expanding a lot in the US, just recently launched service to Minneapolis. Do you think they will fly to KC or St Louis if they expand in Missouri?
Aer Lingus also has a new partnership with Alaska Airlines, so maybe they can route from traffic from the Alaska West Coast Route into KC and onto Dublin

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
AL planned on flying to MO this season but aircraft availability put those plans on pause. I know of 1 other European carrier that planned MO service in the past 2 years that ended up walking away right before the announcement.brewcrew1000 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 10:04 am Aer Lingus has been expanding a lot in the US, just recently launched service to Minneapolis. Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
There's zero percent chance that a single travel agent would know this before any official announcement.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
September 15th is the last bookable date. Searches for dates after that cause an error. I think this confirms it.

No, they only fly in the summer and cease trips in late fall until the new season. You can book flights for next June if you want. I think this is a bad rumor that should be taken down. I’d hate for it to hurt our only international flights for a new carrier to KC.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Iceland Airlines had been selling tickets into October and you wouldn’t get the error that I’m getting now. I had been looking at trips during that time period so I’m 100% on this.beautyfromashes wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 6:51 pmNo, they only fly in the summer and cease trips in late fall until the new season. They announced schedule changes a few weeks back for October.langosta wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 6:54 pmIceland Airlines had been selling tickets into October and you wouldn’t get the error that I’m getting now. Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Talking to those who have direct knowledge, this rumor is not correct. As stated, season was cut to end at October 1st and tickets are available for start of season starting May 15th. No anticipated dropping of route.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Southwest extended their schedule today.
Cut Boston Permanently. Also cut others to Boston permanently (Atlanta, Milwaukee).
Fort Myers is back M-Saturday though! So that is good.
Maybe this will get Delta to put a A220 on Boston?

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Delta won that little battle for Boston but the Max issue didn't help. I really hope fares can stay low. I was always seeing 80-100 bucks each way on flights to boston, hope they dont end up doubling in price

Boston was where I always was able to get a cheap SWA flight to a cheap European flight. Very disappointing.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Same here. I wouldn't mind seeing an afternoon Delta flight. Delta really wants to make Boston a hub and compete with JetBlueTheSmokinPun wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 1:42 pm Boston was where I always was able to get a cheap SWA flight to a cheap European flight. Very disappointing.

For those who care, I had some extra time today and counted up flights on Southwest for the new release for January
