i-35/Santa Fe Improvements
Going to have taken away some business to do it and hopefully not the ones in Townsquare but Westlake Hardware might have already found a home at Murlen Road and Santa Fe.

Re: i-35/Santa Fe Improvements
Here's a factsheet from the city of Olathe that shows the planned improvements: https://www.olatheks.gov/home/showpubli ... 9722930000
And here's a factsheet from KDOT outlining the construction schedule and other planned improvements in the I-35 corridor (warning, may default to download instead of opening in browser): https://hntbcorp.maps.arcgis.com/sharin ... e44fe/data
Construction would start Q4 2026 and wrap up in late 2029 or early 2030. (Wow, those are real years! The thought of 2030 as a year that's coming soon kinda broke my brain a bit.)
The project may also include rebuilding the pavement on I-35 from Santa Fe to 119th, adding an auxiliary lane between the two interchanges, and rebuilding or adding onto the Old 56 Hwy east ramp to northbound I-35 to make it two lanes. I'll be curious to see if they tear it down and rebuild, or if they build on top of the existing piers, since it was clearly designed with widening in mind when it was built decades ago.
