That is correct.

The cars are smaller in person than I expected.

If it's really only 150', it will be small. That's not much bigger than the tiny one at worlds of fun. They are rarely under 200' tall and that location is in a pretty low spot in the downtown area or it sure feels like it is. Plus, you will need to be up 40-50' or so just to see above the 35 and broadway viaducts.

I really thought they would have gone a little larger.

Same. Wonder if it is a radius/circumference thing? At 150' it looks to be pushing the edges of the property.

It's a dumb idea in a dumb spot. Who cares the height. 200 feet it's still silly

I don't really get into Ferris Wheels. I have only been on a few and only ride them for the photo ops. Most don't have very good photo ops and it looks like KC's will be like most.

If you are going to have one in KC, it would have been better in a location like Washington Sq Park or even the City Market or something, or maybe even the river front or somewhere in PVP. This is a very odd location for sure, but it being so short makes it even more silly.

Full structure will be slightly greater than double the height of what’s in place so far. I do wish we could have hit 200 or 250’ just so you could see over to KU Med and plaza

If this is supposed to be 150' tall when complete, the center of the hub shown here should be 75' from ground level. Could be the picture, but it doesn't look to be 75'.

EDIT: We should all be so proud, it looks like this is the smallest one this company has done so far. STL is 200' and The Capital Wheel is 175'.

I know you don't like my criticism but this just looks super temporary, like there is a carnival in town. I think ferris wheels can look nice in cities and add an entertainment option, but the height of this in that location seems really bizarre. I guess it doesn't matter and I do hope for the best with this development, but the ferris wheel part of it missed the mark IMO. A 250-300' (maybe even 200')wheel there truly would provide some amazing views of the city, but this won't be much different than the view from the interstate.

For the record the one here in National Harbor is stupid too. Talk about a view of nothing.

Oh I'm very clearly on the record of this being silly but the height has little to do with my opinion. Just a joke about your past few posts are about things needing to be bigger.

Not exactly. That would equate to a radius that contacts the ground! Bottom of the wheel radius will be above ground. Look at STL wheel, London Eye, etc.

The height of the Ferris wheel in this location might be restricted because of the width. Any greater height and its width might extend into restricted areas over a city street, or too close to the interstate bridge.

Going by it tonight, it seems like it'll be a similar height to the St. Louis Union Station ferris wheel.
