I think KC is over saturated with barcades, and none of the newcomers seem to match the success and quality of Up/Down.

As discussed in another thread, KC seems to be adding restaurants/bars/entertainment options at a faster rate than residents or jobs. Still, I'm a little surprised at how Martini Corner seems to be languishing. Union Hill, Armour Blvd, and Beacon Hill have added a lot of residents and Martini Corner should be the neighborhood destination for all of those areas.

Maybe the next round of apartments coming to the area will help breath life into Martini Corner/Tower East. There are quite a few units within a mile radius that are under construction or planned. The Gallerie, Marcato, Acme Cleaning, and Wonder Lofts are all under construction, adding about 700 units. MAC has about 550 more units planned on Armour, The 25th and Troost, Linwood and Troost, 3260 Main projects would add 413 more, plus the MGE on Broadway looks like it is coming back to life

Guess they closed in February. Why is that spot so bad? Nothing ever lasts in that building
Rockafire was a poor experience. The ambience was nonexistent. A lot of the games didn't work right. The only option was to pay $5 to play and then have your hand marked with a sharpie to show you'd paid. The bathroom was also gross.

The showbiz band was fund for about 5 minutes.

Yes. There needs to be more Indian restaurants in the city's core.

Or ANY Indian restaurants that are open after 5. Whenever I'd kill for butter chicken, it's always around 7.

The place was kind of scary, it had the ambience of a haunted house and those bathrooms were probably the worst ones i've ever seen in a bar. I don't even think they locked.

Wonder if that location would be big enough for duckpin bowling (Mini Bowling) - Its kind of a Milwaukee thing - http://www.kozsminibowl.com/
This is another interesting entertainment option in Milwaukee - Create your own Mini Golf Course inside a bar - https://www.ninebelowmke.com/

Email from the Union Hill Neighborhood Assoc.this morning stated the following for an upcoming meeting:

"...will also be discussing the new Cajun themed restaurant that is set to move into the Rockafire location"

That is good news that it won't go sitting empty for too long.

Hopefully leans toward more actual Cajun 'food' than Cajun 'theme' if you know what I mean.

Hopefully its not a Crab Boil place like the 2 on Broadway. We have hit peak Crab Boils in less than a year.

I was excited for the place yet it depressed me so much. The games were in such a sorry state, the staff just didn't care at all & took everything to get them to even open a few beers for us. The worst part was they said the band was broken that night & they didn't have the supplies to fix them. I was shocked it made it from when I went in October til recently.

Damn that place was my favorite. It just seemed like it could never get steady business. That area is a black hole for businesses. Kimchee I believe is the name lasted like 3 months

That's a shame. It always seemed busy when we were there for breakfast on the weekends.

Really? I was kind of disappointed in that place, especially after waiting so long for it to open.

The pastries were good, but I thought the food was underwhelming. I think I only ate there twice - maybe I got the wrong things. I have been trying to eat healthier and Attitude definitely doesn't fit that.

The limited hours didn't help.

The pancakes were some of the best and I was a big fan of the meatball sub and Panini

The prices were also very reasonable and I liked the inside.

First Lutfi's on Main stopped serving breakfast and now Cafe Attitude is closing. That leaves me only Kitty's Cafe. As good as Kitty's breakfast sandwiches are, one a week is my max.

Burgers, craft beer, reclaimed barn wood and a garage door. Going for the millennial grand slam.
