Re: Lions Choice
I thought they already got approval to build the one in Olathe. Are they building one in Independence first? Do you know when the Olathe one might open?

Re: Lions Choice
I hope so, Lion's Choice beats the pants off Arby's in every conceivable way. I've volunteered to unnecessarily join work day trips to St. Louis because there's a Lion's Choice by the office there.

Re: Lions Choice
I can finally broaden my food choices in St Louis now because it seemed like every St Louis trip involves 1 or 2 trips to Lions Choice. For years I never knew what lions choice was when I saw it off 70 in Wentzville (Thought it was maybe a strip club or adult book store) then one day I was starving on my way back to KC so i ordered it and it was fricken awesome and I've never looked back, the best fast casual roast beef by far.mean wrote:I hope so, Lion's Choice beats the pants off Arby's in every conceivable way. Re: Lions Choice
The original KC location at 119th/Metcalf (where the existing Unforked is currently located) was amazing. I thought for sure my family alone would keep it in business.
The Olathe location in front of Menard's was originally scheduled to be open by October. There have been some hiccups in the process with the city of Olathe, but LC is still shooting for a fall opening.

Re: Lions Choice
I'm willing to bet I went on and on and on about it on this forum near the time I first registered in Dec 2002 since that location closed in Aug 2002 after opening in 1999.

Re: Lions Choice
These locations suck for me to be a regular but I am hoping one day that the Raising Canes in Westport goes out of business and can be replaced by a Lions Choice. It seems like the metro has hit peak Chicken Finger restaurants with a wave of Raising Canes, Slim Chickens and Zaxby's over the past 3-4 years (That bubble has got to burst right?) Now its time for the St Louis Roast Beef Bubble

Re: Lions Choice
lions choice is getting all kinds of weird praise from stl foodies lately and i think there's like lions choice donuts and fried rice and shit (or something). to me it's a place i go when i need some grease in me at work and then i immediately regret. beats the pants off arby's, though.
ha...ha ha! just saw this.

***BREAKING LION'S CHOICE NEWS***
Per a reply on their Facebook page, they're aiming for a Dec. 27 opening date for the Olathe store, pending no weather delays. That was as of Friday, though, so given the blizzard it may yet be pushed back.

Re: Lions Choice
The Olathe location was originally scheduled to open in October, but a wetter than normal late summer/early fall has pushed it back to the late Dec date. No doubt this past weekend's snow will push the Dec date back to January.

Re: Lions Choice
My teenage son made us stop at Lion's Choice three times in four days over the long weekend while we were in St. Louis. I'm tempted to have him apply there so he can make some money while he gains 50 pounds.

Re: Lions Choice
Your son knows what's up! Lion's Choice is the bomb. When visiting family in StL, my son and I have to hit up the trifecta - Shakespeare's Pizza (on the way in CoMo), Lion's Choice and White Castle.
It will be a glorious day if/when White Castle returns to the KC metro.
