Love what they are doing here, but not gonna lie, the sign looks a bit like that of a weed dispensary.

Great job on restoring the facade. I walked by there last week and it still had some gaps, looks complete now.

Yea, the were still quite a few people working on last minute stuff when I walked by. Either way, it looks great!

Google street view on desktop would have this. Somewhere in the interface is a slider to go back in time if available for the location

why did building owners ever put that facade on? Cheaper to maintain? Style?

Yeah, probably the same deal as with oak tower. Terra cotta gets dirty pretty easily and needs maintenance, and they probably saw the modern cladding as being more stylish. They might have also been trying to fit in with city center square across the street.

My wife and I took a trip from Omaha down to KC this past weekend and we stayed at the Hotel Indigo. Really nice place! I really liked the railroad themed decor inside. Plus having it only a block from the streetcar, it was super handy too.

I've stayed in 2 Hotel Indigos in other cities, both were pretty much only hotels I could sleep solidly the first night in. They had white noise in room and beds were very comfortable. Couldn't tell if it was specifically a white noise generator but it was a constant soothing sound even if air was off. Slept well every night. Is this the case with all of their hotels?

Am surprised with these bright white walled/ceiling lounges within hotels and some restaurants lately, not exactly comfy places to hang out. Wonder if it's intentional to rotate tables and keep 'have another round' drinkers out.
