maybe we should confirm if residents will have access to hotel amenities (restaurant, gym, room service, concierge, valet).

Was told the apartments can use the hotel amenities like room service. It's weird a limited service will even have room service.

Will the exterior be done by then? I haven't been by there in a while.

Hotel will open December 15.

Vacant for a decade, downtown building set to open as KC's first Hotel Indigo

Kevin Collison update...

Will the residential portion be able to use hotel concierge/room services? Hotel/residential hybrids are a trend now given residential can maintain hotel services during down periods. How many hybrids in KC now or in development? The Plaza Alameda Tower uses Hotel Intercontinental services but not in same building.

There's a hotel near the StL Amtrak station like this I've used.

They had the lobby, then parking with the hotel parking on one side and the apartment on the other. Then the hotel was above that with event space just above it, apartments above that. Then above that more event space, the shared amenities.

It seemed to work well. The apartments had their own elevators separate form the other uses.

Plaza Alameda/Intercontinental effectively the same, though 2 buildings. Any others planned in KC? Not meaning just hybrid, but residential sharing services. Have always thought the new conventional hotel should be a hybrid, potentially makes it a less risky investment.

The people that restore and do terracotta building work are a dying breed. This is such an awesome art and I wish there were more artisans doing it.
