Two Kansas City Place
Does anyone have renderings of what the other proposed buildings in the 80's Kansas City Place project were supposed to look like? I can't find anything and I've always been curious how it would have effected the skyline if it would have been completed.

Re: Two Kansas City Place
All the links that I had to the original renderings appear to be broken.
Not that this would do you much good without a rendering, but it wouldn't have looked anything like One Kansas City Place and it would have been taller than One Kansas City Place.

Here is the link to the Stan Durwood redevelopment of the South Loop. It was not part of the One Kansas City place project, but a preceded it.

Here is a proposed image of a tower on top of the former Two Kansas City Place site.

That rendering of Durwood's fantasy was about a decade AFTER the Kansas City Place proposal. There were earlier versions of Durwoods plans as Crosstown, which had a huge platform spanning Main St. so all pedestrian activity was elevated above street level. The 1980's Kansas City Place had 2 KCP on the present HR Block site.

I hate to say it, but I like the expansion towers more than One Kansas City Place. It would have been a nice to see some height connecting the government district to the rest of the skyline. Of course, that's a purely superficial desire. If it's not practical, it's not practical.
as for the Durwood plan...yeesh
