I'm guessing they will rent some parking spaces from the Catholic diocese for the office part of this development in the former New York Life Building.

they're continuing ahead on this

more brick wall repair on the west side
they have lights strung up inside too. they temporarily pulled one of the window coverings down on the south side to move some equipment inside

I couldn't figure out from those pictures when they were taken. Any idea? If that's the current state of the building, looks like it may be a while before I can get some Pizza 51.

Still, it's awesome to see pictures of the inside of the place.

Believe they were taken yesterday, so this is the current status.

Well, regardless, I'm happy the project is underway and that this building is not going to share the fate of so many other downtown buildings.

The Native American mural seems to be a new discovery. I don't recall seeing that in the original set of interior shots.

Downtown’s old Cosby Hotel will have a deli, pizzeria and bakery

Milwaukee Delicatessen Co. will open in mid- to late August.

Sasha’s Baking Co. will open next door, and have an outdoor patio.

The main thing to take away is that downtown is more expensive, higher taxes and cost more to park and Kansas still has to pay companies to move to the burbs.

I guess when you don't have any friends you can always pay people to be your friend.

Can't remember where I saw this, maybe the contractor's site. Mind-blowing.

Both. The glass is new, I remember the front before construction.

the little details keep moving along

like instead of visible pipe there's more decorative covers on the west side
