uses for Truman Sports Complex if abandoned

I think we're all getting way ahead of ourselves here if we're already invisioning the proverbial tumble weeds rolling across the parking morass at the Truman.

I very much doubt football would be moved. Too many Chiefs fans get their jollies by tail-gating in the parking lot before the game, whereas the baseball situation would be enhanced by having attractions within walking distance. I think football and baseball are two completely different animals.

I say they mow them down, do a little urban renewal with lots of affordable single family homes.

I say build new stadiums on the site or build an urban village w/ residence, retail, and entertainment.

Convert the K to a soccer only stadium if it is at all feasible. Arrowhead needs to remain the home of the Chefs.

If its not feasible...I dunno, another Nebraska Furniture Mart? Probably they'll just level it for parking.

Soccer stadium would be nice, especially one owned and financed by the affiliated team.
