What newspapers do you read?
I read the NY Times, and find that I get a lot out of it. I find it worth it to pay for a subscription. There are just all kinds of wonderful nooks and crannys. I even like the infamous/famous Bill Cunningham little street fashion deal, and I'm no fashionista.
Are there any papers that y'all read that you find are worth the subscription (I mean beyond your local).
What are some good UK/European publications?
I'm talking about these big old school papers. Say Times of London, or the LA Times.

I was on the NY Times website a lot until they put up a subscriber wall. Now I don't read anybody in particular, but I click whatever links get sent to me or whatever I come across that sounds interesting. When really major news goes down that I want different perspectives on, I check out the websites for the BBC, the Guardian, El Pais, El Mundo, Le Monde, and sometimes Al Jazeera. Not all of these are newspapers and not all of them are in English so they're only viable news sources if you can actually read them, obviously.

KCStar and WSJ

Paper paper's I hardly every read anymore. My tabs that open every morning are:
Star (most familiar/interested but not the best layout)
Springfield News Leader (Love the minimalist layout but not a ton of content)
Stl Post (Way to busy of a layout but the best reporting)
Wichita Eagle (Meh)
Omaha World (Bad layout, content used to be pay-walled but appears to be open now, mainly scan headlines)

Re: What newspapers do you read?
I still get a Sunday paper KC Star. I'll read the online one every day.
Other than that, I'll peruse various local papers around the country because its part of my job, but I don't really read papers regularly. I do read blogs that frequently link to articles in the Washington Post, WSJ, NYT, Guardian, etc.

I get The Atlantic, and that comes with a Newsweek subscription for free I guess to boost their circulation numbers.aknowledgeableperson wrote:Star website. But for news go to Time and Newsweek mags.
Re: What newspapers do you read?
NYT & Star daily online; Sunday NYT in hardcopy.
About 2 years ago we received both in hardcopy - Star took literally about 30 seconds to read. I found that we let the NYT dailies pile up unopened as we were reading online. So, cancelled the dailies and saved $600 annually and perhaps a portion of a tree. Sunday is more of a ritualized experience with breakfast, coffee and lounging that I savor. About half of the article have been read online. I really like Bill Cunningham, but now I watch his video on Saturday.

Re: What newspapers do you read?
I never read newspapers. When I read news then I choose an online medium- I prefer the New York Times in this case. But I also read news when it's recommended by someone on facebook or something like that.
I know maybe I should be more interested in the happenings around me but the news always make me depressive.
